Youth Migrants in Action
ABOUT
MigraACT aims to improve the capacity of youth workers and organisations working with migrants to better support young people during their integration process, both personally and professionally. The project focuses on youth workers operating in care facilities and migration centres, providing them with innovative tools based on non-formal education (NFE) and resilience-based approaches.
At the same time, MigraACT directly involves young migrants aged 18–25, recognised as refugees or asylum seekers, offering them practical methods to promote their skills, increase their employability and strengthen their mental and psychosocial well-being. Young migrants are among the most vulnerable groups in migration processes, as highlighted by the Global Migration Group in the report “Migration and Youth: Challenges and Opportunities”. Migration often disrupts social, family and professional networks, exposing young people to social exclusion, deskilling and psychological distress.
By combining professional skill recognition, employability support and mental health awareness, MigraACT seeks to respond to these challenges while strengthening the role of youth organisations engaged in non-formal learning activities, particularly in third countries not associated with the Programme.
The official MigraACT project brochure is a comprehensive resource which provides a deep dive into our mission to support the personal and professional integration of young migrants across Europe and the South Mediterranean region.
